Pie Crust


Pie Crust: 
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons ice water

  1. Combine all ingredients into a bowl 
  2. Mix until dough clumps 
  3. From here, you can form it into a ball and stick it in the freezer until needed or use it for a pie right away 
  4. Dust a surface with flour 
  5. Roll out the dough from the center out (make a sun) 
  6. Transfer to pie pan 
  7. Crimp around the edges (use your index and and thumb and pinch together) 
  8. Fill up with whatever filling you want 
  9. Bake your pie according to the recipe
Tip: Do not over mix. The crust will become tough. Use your hands to mix it and over mixing will not be an issue.
